Quality Assurance Process (QAP) for Translation Projects
Our standard Quality Assurance Process for a translation project is distinguished by two main features: 1) the availability of a two-tiered translation and review process to ensure high quality of the deliverable; and 2) engagement of all relevant parties in close communication throughout the translation process.![]() | Quality Assurance Process for Translation Projects (Click to Enlarge) |

Requirements Definition - At the beginning of a project we make sure that your needs -- including the nature and purpose of the document, target audience, language pair, delivery date, formatting and any other requirements -- are well understood and documented. Clarification is sought on global queries regarding the source document. |

Materials Collection - Available reference materials (such as past translations, industry literature and in-house glossaries) are collected from you to ensure translation consistency and to save re-work costs. |
![]() |
Assignment - All documents are examined by our Project Managers and assigned to the most suitable translator based on the language pair, location of target audience, industry knowledge and experience. All key issues such as deadline and reference materials are well communicated to all parties involved in the translation process. Our translators are notified of your objectives before beginning the project. |

Translation - The translator works on the project. For large projects, our process allows for Checkpoint Reporting, with internal checkpoints to confirm progress and ensure the translation is on the right track. Where necessary, we confer with you to confirm that all queries are resolved. If problems with the text in the source document are identified, these are brought to your attention (see Quality Feedback). |

Professional Editing and Revision - The translated materials will be reviewed by independent professionals, who are highly proficient in the same pair of languages, for choice of diction, consistency in terminology, style and format. This process allows for fine-tuning with regard to cultural nuances. |

Proofreading and Formatting - All projects are subject to proofreading and software format examination prior to delivery. |
![]() |
Page Layout - If you want the translated document returned in the same layout as the source document, we provide page layout services by inserting the translated text in the appropriate spots of the editable source document and converting the document into a user-friendly format for immediate use. |

Proofreading and Formatting - All projects for which you have opted for page layout service are subject to a second proofreading and software format examination. |
![]() |
Project Delivery - When our Project Managers are satisfied with the completed document and upon receipt of your final payment, the document will be delivered via your preferred method. |
![]() |
Client Review - We want to make sure you are satisfied with our finished product. You are given several days to review the delivered document. As part of our after-sales service, we will arrange for a final fine-tuning of the document upon request during the given review period. |
![]() |
Post Project Revision - Where applicable, we will arrange for a final revision of the document per your request. If you have no further request for changes by the end of the review period, we will close the project. |

Communication - Throughout the entire project process, we keep in close communication with you and our translators to ensure that requirements are well understood, issues identified and resolved early, feedback and approvals obtained promptly, and that the final product is delivered with quality, on time and to your complete satisfaction. |
If we notice any problems with the your source document, such as spelling and grammatical mistakes, inconsistencies in use of terminology, logical errors, unclear messages or other linguistic issues that may affect the quality of the document, we will bring it to your attention. We believe in working as your partner
